The Reason You're Stuck

And how to radically change your future.

October 25, 2019

There’s a reason why you’re stuck in the same situation day after day.

You’ve tried to change things. Everyone does. You say today will be different, but then it just ends up being the same.

The truth is you’re stuck because of a biblical principle that people ignore.

That principle is seed time and harvest. Sowing and reaping.

Many people only think about it in terms of the future. “I’m gonna see my harvest one day!”. There’s always this distant future that ends up magically being everything you wanted and dreamed.

That’s not how life works.

You are a product of the choices you made yesterday, a week ago, a month ago, a year ago, even five years ago.

Think about a farmer. Does he expect to produce a crop the instant he drops a seed into the ground? No. He tends the ground, plants the seed, waters the seed, cares for it and watches it grow.

The life you have now is a direct reflection of the seeds you’ve sown in the past. It’s the “harvest” that you have obtained based on your past actions.

You can’t just decide to be different today because you feel like it. There’s a whole host of external forces holding you back.

What you’re doing today was decided by you in the past.

This isn’t supposed to be depressing. It’s actually encouraging. I’m just helping frame your perspective. I’m telling you why it’s so hard.

Once you understand why it’s so hard, you can begin to trend in the right direction. You can plant good seeds for your future.

There’s two secrets to radically changing your life.

This is the first secret to changing your life 👇

You can’t change your present harvest. You can’t change your present situation.

What you can change, is the seeds that you’re sowing.

You might be stuck in a job you don’t like. A relationship that’s failing. A body you hate. A massive amount of debt that you abhor.

You can’t change that right now. It’s not possible. It was set in stone by the decisions you made in the past.

But, you can change your future.

You can do one simple thing in every area of your life to change the direction of your future.

You can buy a book to start learning a new skill so you can change your career or start a business.

You can write a love note, or buy some flowers to help mend your relationship for the day.

You can skip a meal, or cut out snacks today to help reduce the calories you consume.

You can save $1, $10, or $100 for your future so you can get out of debt and be free.

But that’s not all it takes. One single action isn’t going to cut it. Your life won’t change in an instant.

This is the second secret to radically changing your life 👇

Doing the right things consistently compounds and builds a better future for yourself over time.

It’s consistent action. It’s a compounding of small things. It’s changing your future one step at a time.

If you take consistent action, your life will reflect that in the future.

If you buy and read a relevant book every week, you will be able to build skills to change your career in a few years, or start a business.

If you write a love note every week, or buy flowers every week, or go on a date to show them you love them every week, you can start to rebuild your relationship.

If you skip a meal everyday, and/or cut out snacking everyday, you can start to lose that extra weight.

If you save $10 a day, or $100 a week, month after month, you will have built up a decent emergency fund so you can start getting ahead on your debt.

There’s always an if.

IF you take CONSISTENT ACTION you will see RESULTS.

IF you do NOTHING you will STAY THE SAME (or get worse).

That’s how life works.

I hope this inspires you to start making small changes for your future.

You can’t be a different person today. But, you can be a different person in a month, a year, and five years.

It’s simple, but it’s not easy. It takes action, focus, vision. It doesn’t just happen automatically.

Plant good seeds. Take care of those seeds. Watch them grow. Reap your harvest.

You’re stuck today. Now you know why. Now you know what to do to change that.

Do it. Take action. Take small steps towards a better future.
