Don’t Listen to Anything I Have to Say

Everyone Is Different

December 28, 2016

I have been sending emails out to all of you claiming a lot of different things. The truth is, none of it matters unless you figure out what works for you.

I like to tell you guys what works for me, or what resonates with me. I don’t always do the things that I tell you guys is what you should do. I’m not perfect, and I definitely am not the hardest working person I know.

I do know what works for me, though. And if me telling you these things makes you get up and do something different with your life, then that’s awesome!

Everyday I figure out more about who I am, what I am good at and what I am terrible at. All I do to maximize my productivity is focus on the things I am good at, and push off the things I am bad at to other people.

Don’t think that you need to fix every area of your life before you can make a difference in your life.

Everyone Is Different

I read a lot of books, I listen to a lot of leaders and successful people, talking about the ways to be come just like them. They all have different stories and timelines. One thing is always the same, they figured out what made them tick and they stuck with it.

Are you not good at talking to people? You don’t have to. Are you not good with you hands? Don’t force yourself to do something with them.

This isn’t an excuse to be bad at everything, but a call to focus on what makes you you. When you focus on what you are good at, you can exponentially increase your talents and success.

There is an example of this with singing. If you’re a 5 out of 10 rated singer, you can bust your butt and become a 7 out of 10. But the truth is, no one is going to pay money to see a 7 out of 10.

Do what comes naturally to you and work hard to hone that craft meticulously.

Some things are always true

The harder you work on your strengths, the more successful you will be.

The time you spend trying to fix your weaknesses is mostly wasted time.

It doesn’t matter how much you read, listen to or learn about successful tactics. If you don’t execute, you won’t succeed.

Finding out what works for you and ignoring everything else is one of the most useful things you can do with your time.

Routines and strengths will change over time. They will be dependent on what’s most important to you at that time.

I hope you enjoyed this! Get out and make a difference.
